(p) what's good in the 'hood - the ward in Guelph

As an almost-bedroom community of Toronto, Guelph is exploding. We're blanketing what was once farmland with new houses, rolling out in every direction from the vibrant centre of the city. My own house is a 90-year old gem in the treasure-chest of a neighbourhood called the ward. A lovely mix of community gardens, friendly people (I know my 10 closest neigbours by name), rain-barrel-dotted yards and the sweetest side-walk roaming kitties in Southern Ontario, the ward is particularly heavenly in summer.
