I met Allie and Aaron through Aaron's sister Hannah, who I was working on a film with here in Austin. A photographer in her own right, Hannah knew that her brother wanted less pose and more moment, so it was a pretty perfect fit. The venue at Farr Side and Moriah (it's sort of two venues in one - hence the name) is a dreamy, rustic, waterfront homestead in Marble Falls. Many of the guests stayed in the properties amazing log cabin houses, which meant partying went late, and the outdoor fire pit was well used. I love all of you and your amazing families! Thanks for sharing the joy <3
Katy and Aaron have a wonderful connection - at one point in the morning's prep, Aaron sent a friend over to Katy's suite to deliver an apple to her. Of all the gourmet sandwiches and deserts, he knew just what she needed at that moment. These two are so in tune with each other, so kind, and have an amazing crew of friends and family. And what a delight to shoot at Heritage House; this was my first wedding there and I adored the photographer-friendly light.
Meredith and Jacques are two incredible artists from NYC. They wanted an elegant out-of-the-box wedding; a path that lead to the enchanted town of Marfa Texas. and I spent four glorious days with them, photographing their inspiring parties. The wedding itself was held at the Crowley Theatre, with a reception at Farmstead Marfa, which is a converted farmers market across the road from Hotel Saint George where everyone stayed and prepped.
